A view with a loo! Inky detailing, masculine colours and geometric patterns lifted with gold define the newly updated gentleman’s cloakroom as part of our project at The Lavenham Swan Hotel. Love the cobra handles too.

For this room in the Swan Hotel Lavenham, a beautiful 16th century building in Suffolk, we created an uplifting, elegant wood panelled powder room & ladies cloakroom.
@leejofa’s feather-like wallpaper sets the tone inspired by the colour palette of @weavershousespa, and is complemented with details like @chloealberry’s golden swan, perfect to hang your bag from. @beataheuman’s solid brass ‘bow’ handles, handmade in Florence sit satisfyingly with @paintandpaperlibary’s ‘Glass III’.

There are few greater pleasures in life than a beautiful place to read…and the time to do it.

This alcove was created from the client’s collection of textiles bought on their travels in India. Hand-blocked silk is used to line the walls and for the blinds. The cushion material is ‘Tendril Vine’ by @soanebritain, and was also used for the curtains in this library & drawing room.
